We collect the minimum, use it only to respond, and never sell data to anyone. The details, in plain language.
HOPE'S PLATOON — INVESTIMENTOS & CONSTRUÇÕES TÉCNICAS, LDA («MODULAR») is the controller responsible for processing the personal data collected on this site. For any privacy-related question, contact contato@modularconstrucao.pt.
We do not collect special-category data.
We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
We process your data under article 6(1) of the RGPD (GDPR): pre-contractual steps taken at your request — point (b) — when you ask us for a quote or a site visit, and consent — point (a) — when you ask us to email you your configuration. You may withdraw consent at any time.
When you tap the WhatsApp button, you leave our site. The conversation continues on the WhatsApp application, operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, and that company's privacy policy also applies, which is outside our control.
On our side, we retain the phone number, the profile name set, the content of the messages and any files sent — usually photographs of the site or floor plans. We keep that conversation because it is where everything comes together: what was said, what figures were quoted and what was left to confirm.
Anyone who would rather not use WhatsApp can reach us by email or phone, with exactly the same level of service.
We are preparing automated assistance on WhatsApp, on Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. We describe here how it works, so you know what to expect from day one.
The first response may be handled by an automated assistant, rather than a person. The assistant identifies itself as such in its very first message and provides the address of this policy.
You can always speak to a person. Simply write "falar com a equipa" ("speak to the team"), or ask in your own words, and the conversation will be forwarded to a member of the MODULAR team — from that point on the assistant stops replying in that conversation. The same happens if the assistant does not understand the request, or if the matter falls outside its normal rules.
The assistant calculates an indicative figure from a fixed price table approved by us, and suggests models based on the answers given. That figure is an automated estimate: it is not a quote, it is not a contractual proposal, it is not binding on MODULAR, and it does not constitute an offer under articles 228 et seq. of the Civil Code. It always depends on written confirmation following the site visit, and may change depending on ground conditions, foundations, access, permitting and the options chosen. A quote only exists once we deliver it in writing.
From a data protection standpoint, this calculation is likewise not a decision about the person: it grants or denies nothing and produces no legal effects. To suggest models and calculate the estimate, the assistant automatically uses whatever you tell it about the plot, the layout, the area and the intended use of the house. We do not use these answers to assess anyone's financial situation, behaviour or creditworthiness.
In that conversation, the assistant collects:
The conversation is stored. The full text of the messages, any files sent and the indicative figure quoted are recorded in a database hosted on Supabase, on servers within the European Union, with access restricted to our team. We keep this transcript for 12 months from the date of the last message; once that period has elapsed, it is deleted or anonymised. The team receives only a summary of the request by email — the full transcript is not circulated by email.
We only send messages after the conversation has ended if you have told us we may. The assistant asks this clearly before closing the conversation, and you only need to reply "não quero receber mais mensagens" ("I don't want to receive further messages") for us to stop contacting you.
Legal basis: handling your request and preparing a possible contract rests on article 6(1)(b) of the RGPD; keeping the transcript rests on legitimate interest, point (f), in knowing and being able to prove what was communicated on the company's behalf; sending follow-up messages rests on consent, point (a), and on article 13-A of Law no. 41/2004.
To operate the site we use providers that process data on our behalf, under data processing agreements:
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, with the appropriate safeguards required under the RGPD, including standard contractual clauses.
We use two measurement tools, with different rules, and we explain both.
Counts visits and page views in aggregate. It uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not build a profile of you: according to Vercel, a request is identified by a temporary code valid for one day. It does not receive your name, email or phone number, and page addresses are sent without parameters, so that no personal data can travel in the URL.
Property G-ZPQYTRDLDV. It helps us understand which pages are most useful to people looking for a home and which journeys lead to contact. It is only loaded after you accept: if you decline, Google is never contacted from your browser. When you accept, Google acts as our processor and usage data is processed (pages viewed, clicks on our contact buttons, device type, country and a browser identifier stored in cookies whose names begin with _ga). We never send your name, email, phone number or the content of your messages.
About Google's role: for ordinary site measurement, Google acts as our processor, handling data on our instructions. If data sharing settings with Google or links to advertising products are enabled on the property, some data may be used by Google for its own purposes, and for that part Google is an independent controller. The exact configuration in force can be confirmed with us through the email address given in this policy.
If you accept, we store in your browser the campaign and the page you arrived through, so we know where quote requests come from. Before you decide, that information exists only in the page's temporary memory and disappears as soon as you reload or close it. If you decline, it is deleted.
You can change your decision at any time in the panel at the end of this page. If you decline or withdraw consent, we delete the stored origin information and Google's cookies, and measurement stops, including in any other tabs you have open. Your choice is kept in your browser solely so that we can remember it and let you change it, until you change it or clear your browser data.
The retention periods applied by Google Analytics depend on the property configuration and can be confirmed with us through the email address given in this policy.
We retain data from contact and quote requests for 24 months after the last contact, unless a contract is signed in the meantime — in which case the legal retention periods for contractual and tax documentation apply. WhatsApp assistant conversations are retained for 12 months from the date of the last message.
If you ask us to delete your data before these periods elapse, we delete whatever we are able to. There are two exceptions, set out in article 17(3) of the RGPD: what the law requires us to keep, such as tax and contractual documentation; and whatever is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim in a complaint or proceeding — for example, the conversation in which a figure was quoted or a deadline agreed, while that matter remains open. In such cases, we will tell you exactly what has been kept, why, and until when.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, as well as to restrict or object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to contato@modularconstrucao.pt. We reply within 24 business hours.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), Portugal's data protection authority, at www.cnpd.pt.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to the law. The version in force is always the one published on this page. Last updated: July 2026.
